![]() The fans stay stuck at full speed.īooting the same system in to a Windows 10 partition and stressing it (e.g., by running a handful of different Android emulators) shows the CPU load increasing, the fan speed increasing a bit (but never to full), and when the load is removed (e.g., by stopping the emulators) the fan speed drops back to normal. The initial ramp up might be associated with a very brief increase in load (e.g., launching an Android emulator), but the system settles back down to a load average of < 1 very quickly. Some time after boot (might be 5 minutes, might be 50 minutes) the fans will quickly ramp up to full speed, and then stay there. There's a weird issue with my desktop (apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere in the forum, the search requires a search term to be at least 4 characters long, so searching for "fan" doesn't work).Īt boot the fans (chassis, CPU, and GPU) are running at normal speed.
